Lima could have 500 weekly flights from major cities in South America in the next two years due to its position as a hub in the region, estimated by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Minster).
Deputy Minister of Tourism, Mara Seminaries, recalled that in 2006 there were 100 to 120 weekly flights, while flights now number 350.
“There is a strong commitment by airlines streamline the Peruvian commercial aviation market and this can be checked because they have become the international airport Jorge Chavez in its hub,” he told Adina news agency.
